Can someone explain this picture?

It says Pennsylvania Realist Pop Punk.  I am so confused [via being old and out of touch].  I have no idea what realist pop punk might be.

    It's a hoodie for a band called The Wonder Years. They're from PA and their genre is classified as pop-punk
